Specific of Art Therapy with Pre-school Children

This bachelor thesis is focused on art therapy with preschool children. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains specifics of preschool children with a focus on the cognitive and emotional development and especially the development of artistic representation. It also describes the specifics of art therapy work with preschool children. The practical part shows possible way of art therapy with preschool children based on methods of Rožnov art therapy. A group of ten children made paintings on topics suitable for preschool age. In the second half of the practical part, there are two case studies, on which we can find connections between the topics, so we can dive into a deeper interpretation thanks to that.
Practical Music Therapy: Music Activities in Pre-School Special Education

Author's précis This work deals with the use of music therapy in special pre-school education. It focuses on the structure and progression of the activities carried out during the music therapy sessions in special kindergarten Štíbrova. The aim of the thesis is to introduce the purposes and charakteristics of the therapy for this kind of clients and to test the influence and difficulty levels of the activities. The basic methods are experiment and observation. In spite of the fact that the influence on the clients is hard to evaluate, it can be said that the basic objectives have been fulfilled. The difficulty was set on the level possible to manage for all the clients. The benefit of the work is the exact and comprehensible description of a usable structure of music therapy session for children from special pre-school facilities. On the grounds of experience, it defines advantages and disadvantages of the tested activities. The theses can become a source of inspiration for lecturers and teachers in pre- school special education and explain the basic issues to readers without any knowledge from the field. The activities could also be applicable in the common kindergartens.
Teaching Foreigners in The Center For Preschool children at DDM of The Capital City Prague

The diploma thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. It deals with preschool education and foreigners in the Czech republic within its theoretical part. It focuses on the education of foreigners in the Centre for Preschool Children (CPD) in a children and youth centre of the capital city Prague, DDM hl. m. Prahy. Theoretical knowledge is applied in the practical part. The practical part of the thesis approaches the reality of foreigners' education in CPD in DDM hl. m. Prahy through seven case studies. The main aim of the thesis is to analyse the specifications of working with children of different cultures in CPD. The aim of the thesis is to introduce ways of teaching other cultures in CPD. The application aim of the thesis is to help pedagogues of the Centre for Preschool Children in DDM hl. m. Prahy work with children of other cultures and help them be better prepared for situations that may occure. The outcome of the thesis is a recommendation for working with particular children in CPD. The thesis gives basic orientation in the topic of education of foreigners in the Centre for Preschool Children in DDM hl. m. Prahy and can be extended.

The survey in practical part confirms the importantance of the development of the educational methods, when children meet sensitive subjects. The Media Habits of Children Aged 5-6 Years. A Comparison of Preferences Between Girls and Boys

The rigorosum thesis entitled "The Media Habits of Children Aged 5-6 Years. A Comparison of Preferences Between Girls and Boys" builds on the diploma thesis "The Media Habits of Children Aged 5-6 Years" and is its extension and reworking. The work seeks to answer two basic questions: What place does the media have in the lives of children aged 5-6 years? Are traditional media (television, radio, magazines, as well as books), or new media (computer, internet, cell phones, etc.) more popular fot these children? The author then in 2014 and 2015 completed work on another view which focused mainly on the correlation between the sex and the media habits of preschool children. To answer these questions the author conducted his own research which focused on children from three nursery schools, their parents and teachers. Research was drawn from three basic sources. The first source was a questionnaire survey of parents of children, another was a questionnaire survey among teachers and the third source was a questionnaire with the children themselves - the author led them through structured interviews and also conducted several simple experiments. Folk songs in music activites designed for pre-school children

The subject of this thesis is to show how to use folk songs and various musical activities when working with pre-school children. The theoretical part of this thesis includes a definition of folk music as well as a brief introduction into the history of folk music in Bohemia and Moravia. There are also numerous suggestions of musical activities which develop musical talent of children. The activities are divided into groups according to the age of children and therefore can be used not only in kindergarten but also on other occasions. The last chapter of this part is dedicated to Framework Educational Programme for Preschool Education. The practical part focuses on how to use folk songs in everyday life of pre-school children. The songs are grouped so that they are suitable for particular age group, bearing in mind the overall programme of the pre-school educational system. The first chapter called Meeting consists of songs which could be nicely used in September, when children are new to the kindergarten. Then there is a part called Autumn, suitable primarily for this part of the year. The Major aim of this Bachelor paper is to examine the expectations that pre-school children have in terms of an ideal nursery school. The theoretical part draws attention to the most influential personages who contributed to the laying the foundations of pre-school and other forms of education. Further chapters deal with alternative school systems and legislation. The practical part delivers outcomes of a qualitative research that took the form of group and individual interviews. Another method was the examination of drawings by children participating in the research. The partners in communication were children in nursery schools.
